Penelope Kokkinides
Penelope Kokkinides was appointed as InnovaCare’s Chief Administrative Officer. However, she has long been an employee of the company and has served in equally senior positions in the past; she served as the company’s Vice President of Clinical Operations and Chief Operating Officer.
Penelope Kokkinides has a long and robust experience in the insurance and healthcare services provision industries. In particular, her experience working in top level positions for major companies makes her the ideal candidate for InnovaCare. For instance, she has worked for CenterLight Healthcare as its Chief Operating Officer. She was also once AmeriChoice’s Corporate Vice President for the departments of Disease Management and Care Management. a fair period of Kokkinide’s career has also been spent at Touchstone Health where she worked in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer.
Rick Shinto
Rick Shinto is not new to InnovaCare either. He served in a higher capacity in the past as he was the President and CEO of Aveta, Inc. Aveta, Inc. has since been sold, and now Richard Shinto is the President and CEO of InnovaCare, Inc. He was considered the ideal candidate for the top job because of his intimate knowledge of its entire operations, and his leadership is expected to be successful now that he will be managing it at a smaller scale.
Richard Shinto also has vast experience working with other companies in the industry. He started small as a pulmonologist in the 1990s. Over the years, however, he has held leadership positions for major companies such as MedPartners and Medical Pathways Management Company. He has served as the Corporate Vice President of Medical Management for MedPartners. He also worked at Cal Optima Health Plan as the company’s Chief Medical Officer.
